Old man winter has finally arrived, late indeed but here to stay for a bit. For many hardcore fisherman it means ice fishing baby! I am one of those avid fishermen that enjoys getting my ice fishing gear ready and getting up to the high country to ice fish my favorite lakes I normally wouldn’t dare to fish on open water, lakes like Taryall and Antero tend to get a bit too windy for my style of fishing which is usually done with a fly rod, so the ice fishing allow me to pick my spot and put up a tend to enjoy some wind free fishing.
My goal for the year 2018 is to get out a lot more than I have in previous years, venture out to new bodies of water and add new species on my list of fish I would like to catch. See you all out there and Happy 2018!
